It was shown in Operation: Future Prospect trailer, preparing to fire EMP guns: http://i.imgur.com/60haVQT.jpg
Does that mean it will be playable soon?

It's definitely coming, that's a player model, rather than a lower detail NPC one. I'm sure the EML will end up being nerfed, at least in PVP.
We have the CFA-44 -Strigon Leader- now
Just doing the math:
It takes almost 88 million credits to get it to lvl 10.
That's just over 2900 missions at 30k credits per.
At 8 minutes a mission, that's 390 hours of play time. Or 2 and a half months of playing this game as a full time job.
Not to mention the hundreds of dollars you would have to spend on sorties if you actually wanted to finish that quickly.
i like how the math never realy adds up.
yes its ungodly expensive.
and VERY FEW IF ANY! will be perpared to get it to level ten.
but someone will.
and it will likely take them half that time.

So, playing video games isn't supposed to waste my time?

Those are ADMM pods, not EML. The EML has a collapsible barrel than is longer than the weapon bay. It's also taller than ADMM. I don't think it may come that soon. At least not until its owner in Infinity is really dead.
But yes, it's ADMMs in that trailer, not the EML. I think the ADMMs can be buffed a little from Assault Horizon, but the EML definitely needs to be nerfed a little more.
While I don't exactly disagree with you, it doesn't matter what you are flying. If you get hit by a missile-sized projectile which is traveling at hypersonic speeds, aka at or above Mach 6, (if not faster, since I honestly don't know what speeds railgun shells can reach without breaking apart mid-flight), you probably won't live to tell anyone about it.
EDIT: Fixed a pair of typos.
Congratulations!! CFA-44 confirmed. Update #11
