Greetings, aces! It's been a while since the Main Page received all of its updates two years ago, and I'm glad to announce a few updates once more! If you head over there, you'll see that most of it is unchanged but that there's a couple of new additions!
Remember, to see the newest version of a page, purge its cache by adding ?action=purge to the end of its URL. So, if you don't see anything different on the Main Page right now, click here: http://acecombat.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page?action=purge
- Mobile friendly!! This is the biggest slice of the cake here; Acepedia's Main Page has always looked misplaced on a mobile browser, and I've been making edits here and there over the past couple of weeks to make it fit a lot smoother. It's more readable and easier to scroll through! If you use a mobile device, check it out!
- The Hero module! Just like how Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ have their own "cover photos", Wikia has implemented its own. This module, the biggest thing at the top that you'll immediately notice, is what'll promote Acepedia on the Wikia home page as well as across its network. Please leave your feedback concerning the specific image and description text here. If there's anything looking odd or some other bug that needs fixing, or a feature you'd like to suggest, tell it to Wikia by commenting at this link!
- Featured Article has a new home, with a new side feature as well: On This Day! If anyone follows Tomcat171's videos on YouTube, you'll know that he does an On This Day series, where he plays through a mission on the day it occurred in canon. I wasn't aware that any other wikias did this, but a couple have, and with their help this feature is now on the Main Page! It will display a lot more than just a mission; for example, there may be game releases, DLC releases, or events that didn't happen in a game but still happened in-universe from some other source.
In the future, I'm going to be looking forward to changing the style of the headers displayed on the Main Page (they currently use the same code as the infoboxes), as well as moving the categories back to a horizontal row on the main section of the page.
Please, if there's any suggestions you have for what should go on the Main Page or what can be improved, I'm all ears! Leave all of your feedback on the recent changes and the future of the page here!
