Oh man. Don't wanna turn on my console again. XD
That's how flight assist does things I guess. The last time I've seen it thoroughly (well, not in action anyway) was way back in Assault Horizon. It's said to be anti-stall and anti-crash. That said, it's one of the first things I turned off without ever trying it.
Flash edit:
Wait a minute. I have this in mind: Do a flight test twice. In the first one you equip nothing and use flight assist. Then, you turn it off and equip anti-stall part for the second test. Same plane. If I'm not mistaken, the part does the same thing but the question is which one limits your plane at lower speed without stalling? Last time I've seen anti-stall part in action, it limited my plane at around 90mph.
