Does anyone else play Ace Combat in strictly cockpit view or is it just me? What do you prefer?

I prefer playing 3rd person because I like looking at my aircraft while playing. It's also the way I'm playing, when an enemy is out of my field of vision I hold down the triangle button to get a view on him and fix my sights on him.
There are times where I play in cockpit mode for fun. I use 1st person for tunnel flights mostly. But for AC:AH, that garbage is on a different level, I play cockpit mode exclusively because the annoying camera switching back and forth when shooting the MG whilst in DFM, so I'm kind of forced on that one
Do yall think the cockpit mode is harder?
Probably, as you don't get the same amount of free vision as 3rd person, and the cockpit itself sometimes obstructs your view, unlike 1st person
Yeah but in 3rd person the whole plane obstructs your view. I need to see how the enemies wings are turning. I rarely miss a missile lock that way.
So would you use cockpit mode in PSVR or are you not even thinking about it?
*sorry for my long-style paragraphs*
To each his own way, for me the plane doesn't actually hinder my moves that much (although I do see the usefulness of 1st/cockpit views). Generally I can pretty much guess or foresee where the enemy is going to roll or dive next, that and usually I place my enemy just above my plane so I could see him
But using cockpit mode in VR would look damn amazing, I would definitely play the campaign in it. Whenever I feel that I want old Ace Combat action (my way at least), I will switch to non-VR mode.
yeah I can't wait for Ace Combat in VR it has been my dream since I first played AC4
ImGoinIn, you are restricted to cockpit view in VR. It is impossible to play third-person or first-person in VR.
DaGamesPlaya, the VR story is separate from the main AC7 story. They're not the same. They will take place during the same conflict (the Osea-Erusea war) but you won't be playing as Trigger in VR.
Slycooper, based on what I was hearing from the dev interviews I also came to the same conclusion. I'm still hoping that maybe there will be some VR features in the campaign. If not no big deal, I'm so used to holding the triangle button after years of playing AC in the cockpit view that it was worrying me how I would like the new me breaking my neck to see the enemies lol.
I've always like flying in the cockpit. For me it adds to the immersion aspect of the game
I also fly in cockpit mode.
