If you're a fan of the Ace Combat games, then your answer to this is most likely a resounding "yes." The series has been around for twenty years and still doesn't have a film adaptation. So many other popular games (Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, Prince of Persia, etc) have been adapted into films, but Ace Combat is still waiting.
Pretty much since Shattered Skies, the series has shown enormous filmic potential. The game's most loyal and hardcore fans would certainly demand one and go to the theater or tune into the appropriate channel on the day it released; if a feature-length film or television show was written as masterfully as the games have been, with a bit of creative license and some minor changes to avoid a carbon copy of the respective game, it would receive amazing reviews and be immensely popular.
The characters of Nagase, Davenport, Grimm and Foulke would, I think, be the most interesting to delve into. And seeing the conflicts of Belkan War, Shattered Skies, Unsung War, Fires of Liberation and upcoming Skies Unknown play out in places other than the ones seen in the games and from the perspectives of other individuals would only add depth and reality to the story.
But to give you your own say, what do you think about an Ace Combat film or television adaptation? Pitch your own ideas to me. I'm excited to see what you have to say.
