Over at the Avatar Wiki, they have an entire section dedicated to fan-made content. This allows for wiki contributors to edit their fan works within the same community, as well as link their pages to on-wiki content.
My idea is to do this for Acepedia, merging the Ace Combat Fanon Wiki under articles named "Fanon:Article Name". So, for example, the ADF-37 HellHawk would be on Acepedia as "Fanon:ADF-37 HellHawk".
This requires community consensus, on both this wiki and the Ace Combat Fanon Wiki.
If the community agrees to this, here's what would happen to Acepedia:
We would request Fandom Staff to add a new namespace, "Fanon:" and "Fanon talk:" to host fan-made articles. All ACFW main articles will be transferred to Acepedia under this namespace. ACFW templates, user pages, project pages, blog posts, etc. will be transferred to the same namespace on Acepedia.
We will open a new Discussion category called "Fanon" specifically for discussions on content in the Fanon namespace.
We will re-allow Ace Combat fan art to be uploaded ONLY if it's uploaded by the original author. As part of this, some ACFW files will be transferred, but only if it fits certain criteria.
This is not an automatic process. This will take time and will be done carefully to ensure it's all done without any issues. It will not happen unless there is a consensus in this thread to make it so, but I think this would be beneficial to the collection of Ace Combat fan works.
