No because the F-5 is super old now and the F-16 is super expensive. They’ll profit a-lot if they released now
Bruh the F-16 is 80 PERCENT CHEAPER THAN FLANKERS (SU-27/35S) No connection to the F-20 program but the Viper is a cheap, highly adaptable, fighter.
Plus the F-5/F-20 design is terribly out of date. Not to mention it’s short legs.
Same for the F-20, the F-16 is a poor mans version of a Gripen
Not really. All the existing Tigersharks are old models as well, not to mention that the Tigershark is a product of the Cold War. In order to bring it into the modern age, it would need a vast number of internal redesigns, all costing money. Besides, Northrop/Grumman isn't really in the fighter aircraft business anymore. They mainly deal in larger aircraft, as well as drones and components for other aircraft
Still they would profit if the updated the avionics and the engine
Poor man’s Gripen? Just because it costs less doesn’t mean it’s any less impressive. The new Block 70 Viper is probably on par with the latest Gripen.
Gripen, Faster more Manoeuvrable more hard points, AESA Radar, Datalink.
Name what the F-16 has
Can your plane do a shock prediction dive strike to suppress enemy infantry? F-16 can...
