The 19th Task Force is a Japan Air Self-Defense Force squadron from the Assault Horizon universe. It was an ASF-X Shinden II test unit, formed as part of the "ASF-X Project Team", led by Major Mishima and featuring Kei Nagase and Wataru Asano as test pilots.[1]
The Shindens used by the squadron use a unique black livery with orange spots, which stem from an episode involving the coating of ASF-X airframes with stealth materials, giving them their peculiar appearance. Nagase liked the look, and thus it was adopted as the squadron color.[2]
