The A-10A -THE iDOLMASTER SP- is a skin for the A-10A Thunderbolt II available as DLC for Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation, as part of DLC Pack 10. It is the tenth in the IdolMaster Aircraft lineup of DLC, and one of two attacker type aircraft for this lineup. It was released on July 24th, 2008, and costs ¤100 MSP to download, making it the cheapest of all the Idolmaster aircraft to purchase.

Overview

The A-10A -THE iDOLMASTER SP- skin is colored lime green, similar to the F/A-18F -THE IDOLMASTER RITSUKO- skin. Asides from the 765 Productions decals, there are chibi stickers of the Idolmaster characters all over the body of it, as well as on the right side of the wing and tails, too. Three hearts can be seen on the engines of the aircraft. When missiles and rockets are fired, they leave behind a green smoke trail.

Performance-wise, it is the most radical of all the A-10 DLC skins. The ammo count has been given a 'theme' of sorts; there are 765 regular missiles, a reference to 765 Productions, and the special weapons follow suit, with 70 rockets, 60 FAE Bombs, and 50 XAGMs. The increased FAE Bomb count makes it more than a viable solution for ground attacks, but the XAGMs prove to be problematic since they experience an ammo decrease. The statistics also see massive changes; it has a maxed out air-to-air and air-to-ground stat like the Colored Wing Aircraft, making it able to take on targets both on the ground and in the air, and it also has a boost to mobility, speed and defense, once again no longer making it sluggish like the original.

All is not perfect with this skin, however, as it sees a massive drop in stability, making it an inverse of the A-10A -XMAS- skin with maxed out stability. This is because of this skin having the unique ability of being weightless, and as a result it 'drifts' in the air. This is a blessing and a curse; blessing in the sense it auguements its maxed out air-to-air stat and making it easier to dogfight, but also a curse in that not only is it harder to use the FAE Bombs, but if maneuvered wrong, can result in crashing to the ground or other objects.

Despite the odd stability stat and weightless ability, it is still a good choice if looking for A-10A DLC, due to the performance and ammo count for the aircraft. However, this aircraft is intended for experts due to the nature of how this aircraft handles, and as a result is not recommended for beginners.
