The A-6E Intruder is a carrier-based attacker aircraft developed for all weather scenarios.

History

Strangereal

The Intruder was used by both the Osean Maritime Defense Force and the Yuktobanian Air Force during the Circum-Pacific War.

During the early days of the Aurelian War, the Leasath Air Force operated the Intruder, the latter having a notable pilot named Ari.

It was developed with the intent of allowing it to fly low into enemy territory and use a selection of weapons to strike a critical blow.. Its nickname is "Intruder". It has also had a variety of other nicknames originating from its large front and slender rear section, including "Tadpole" and "Dog Ship"."

Trivia

• The YK color in AC5, Leasath color in ACX and C02 in ACJA was used only for two A-6E Intruders (№161667 from VA-36 "Roadrunners" and №155620 from VA-65 "Tigers", USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71), tail code "AJ") in Operation Desert Storm (1991).
• In some of the games is has appeared in, the. A-6E Intruder is unique, being one of only few aircraft to carry external gun pods instead of an internal gun, like most other fighters. This characteristic allows it to carry two guns instead of one, at the cost of less accuracy, as the guns are placed far from the aircraft's centerline.
