AWACS SkyEye was the call sign of an E-767 unit of the Independent States Allied Forces during the 2000s. He was mostly assigned to the Mobius Squadron.
History
When the Usean Continental War began, an unknown AWACS was assigned to lead the first assault on the Stonehenge Turret Network. It is likely that SkyEye was the AWACS, but no confirmation exists. After the failure of that operation, ISAF made a full retreat to North Point, where SkyEye was assigned to the Mobius Squadron, along with a couple of other ISAF squadrons.[1][2]
SkyEye's first confirmed operation is Operation Umbrella, where he led a defense mission to prevent Allenfort Air Base and Newfield Island from being bombed by Erusian bombers. This was also his first known flight with Mobius Squadron. Since then, he led numerous ISAF air battles, including a close air support as part of Operation Bunker Shot.[2]
He eventually led a second attack on Stonehenge, codenamed Operation Stone Crusher. With Mobius One's abilities, the mission was a complete success; Mobius One even managed to shoot down a member of the Yellow Squadron.[2]
He has also been in missions with Mobius One alone. The two performed three missions by themselves (possibly in secret or without any time to launch anyone else): Operation Noah's Ark, Operation Blindman's Bluff, and Operation Aurora.[2]
At the close of the Usean Continental War, SkyEye led the aerial assault on Farbanti while Bravo 1 led the ground assault (both under the codename Operation Autumn Thunder). When Yellow Squadron appeared, SkyEye ordered Mobius One to ignore other enemy units in the area and focus on the Yellows. After Mobius One shot them all down, SkyEye confirmed that "air superiority is ours," and the war came to an end. He later led the entire Mobius Squadron on an assault, named "Operation Judgement Day" on Megalith; after Mobius One managed to destroy the facility by himself, SkyEye spoke words of praise of him over the radio.[2]
One year later, during the uprising of Free Erusea, SkyEye was brought back to service to work with Mobius One in a secret operation, Operation Katina, to end the uprising. The two worked together seamlessly and managed to quell the enemy forces. Since the success of Katina, neither SkyEye nor Mobius One have been seen in active service.[3]
