Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation features various downloadable content (DLC), which can be purchased and downloaded from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

In 2016, all DLC for Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation was removed from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace; players who already bought DLC could still re-download purchased content, however, new players are not able to buy anything.

The following were only available via code to players who pre-ordered the game.

• F-15E -MOBIUS-

  An F-15E Strike Eagle featuring no performance changes and the livery of Mobius 1, the protagonist of Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies.

• F-15E -YELLOW SQUADRON-

  An F-15E Strike Eagle skin based on Yellow Squadron, the antagonist squadron of Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies. The aircraft number is Yellow 13's number, 013.

• F-16C -TYPE ACE 2-

  An F-16C Fighting Falcon featuring the livery of Phoenix, the protagonist of Ace Combat 2. It features improved defense, stability, and air-to-air, at the cost of air-to-ground capabilities, mobility, speed, ammo. It also does not feature any special weapons as there were no special weapons in Ace Combat 2.

• F-14D -HALLOWEEN- (Free)

  A Halloween-themed F-14D Super Tomcat, featuring stealth capabilities at the cost of overall performance and decreased ammo.

• F-15E -ACTIVE STRIPES-

  An F-15E Strike Eagle with the signature paint scheme of the F-15 S/MTD test aircraft. It features improved mobility at the cost of overall performance and decreased ammo.

• F-16C -SCARFACE EMBLEM-

  An F-16C Fighting Falcon featuring the livery of Scarface Squadron, complete with Phoenix's emblem and modified tail codes. It features enhanced defense at the cost of speed.
