The Aero-Elastic Wing Technology worked by having the player's aircraft's airframe move around like organic skin, with the flaps bending in the opposite direction for flight control, thus giving the game a more futuristic look.

While the developers decided to go big with the AEWT, their goal could not be achieved due to the PlayStation's limited hardware (similarly to the legendary Metal Gear Solid).
