Released in 1995, Air Combat 22 is an Arcade game released by Namco. It was named "Air Combat 22" due to the fact that it was released on Namco's Namco/Super System 22 hardware. It is the third game to be released in the Ace Combat franchise. It is the sequel to Air Combat (arcade). It is the last official Air/Ace Combat arcade released game in existence; all subsequent releases from Air Combat went on as console or handheld exclusives.
