Alyosha is a Yuktobanian student that was part of the Yuktobanian Resistance. His real name is unknown.

Biography

Alyosha was part of a resistance group in the Union of Yuktobanian Republics that opposed that nation's military-run government, though whether that included Prime Minister Nikanor's government or just the wartime government isn't made clear. Alyosha's group somehow gets their hands on one of the two Belkan V1 nuclear warheads recovered from Yering Mine in North Belka, hiding it in the group's headquarters in the Payavlenie Ravine.

On December 16, 2010, a massive Yuke contingent invaded Payavlenie Ravine in an attempt to capture the resistance and destroy their headquarters; however, they were unsure of the rebels' HQ's location. Shortly after the Yukes' arrival to the battlezone, the Razgriz Squadron entered the area in order to investigate a mysterious radio transmission. After Alyosha established contact with the Razgriz, his group began dismantling the V1 warhead while the Razgriz kept the Yuktobanian forces at bay.

Soon enough, most of the Yuktobanian force was destroyed, but Ofnir Squadron stepped in to put an end to the Razgriz. The Belkan aces were soon shot down, and shortly afterwards, Alyosha and the resistance group utilized a submarine in their possession, and set sail in order to throw the pieces of the V1 into the Ceres Ocean so it could never be used again. Alyosha also shared a message with the Razgriz that Jack Bartlett had given him to relay to them, informing them that he was still alive.

• In Russian dialect, "Alyosha" (Алёша) is a diminutive form for the male name Aleksei (Алексей). It translates into English as "defender of mankind".
