Armada is one of the first missions in the final campaign path in Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception. It is listed as 13B, where Alect Squadron is its alternate. The player must destroy the Leasath fleet before they can defend Archelon Fortress.

This mission is only available if the player finishes mission 14A, Fire Storm. Doing so will allow Alect Squadron to pilot the Fenrirs at Archelon Fortress. If the player skips this mission and advances to Archelon Fortress immediately following Fire Storm, the enemy fleet will appear in End of Deception II and will defend the optical camouflage transmitter.

Briefing

Leasath has deployed multiple air and naval units to defend against our assault on Archelon Fortress. Our military satellites have already confirmed large scale aerial movement. The Leasath fleet is also thought to be heading there via the Danern Straits. The fleet will pose an immeasurable threat to our attack plans if it is not immediately stopped. I highly recommend attacking now, before the fleet arrives at Archelon Fortress.

Objectives

Destroy the Leasath fleet present at the Danern Straits. This will stop them from defending Archelon Fortress and halting the allied amphibious unit assisting Gryphus One.

Unlike the briefing map, the fleet is divided into three formations and each one appears should the first be sunk already. At the start, the player will encounter the first formation consisting of four ships.

Once completed, the player will face a larger one consisting of six ships. This is where an aircraft carrier will attempt to launch F-35 Lightning IIs in an effort to gain minimum air cover.

After the second formation is sunk, the third will appear just as similar as the second but with the added support of a battleship, bringing the total fleet count to seven.

The mission is a success once each TGT-marked ships are destroyed.

S Rank

An S-Rank is achieved by earning a minimum of 19,000 points. Destroying all enemies except for the aces will earn 23,350 points.

Debriefing

We have successfully prevented the Leasath fleet from docking at Archelon Fortress. It was a difficult battle, but we've weakened the enemy's hold over the fort. Archelon Fortress is the final obstacle standing between us and total victory, sir.

Trivia

• Like it's alternate mission Alect Squadron, Armada is unique for featuring two aces.
• For the first time in the Ace Combat series, enemy fighters can be seen taking off from an aircraft carrier.
