Battle for Farbanti is the fifteenth campaign mission in Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown. The player takes over the Erusean capital of Farbanti in this mission.

Briefing[]

The operation to capture the Erusean capital of Farbanti is beginning. This is the culmination of our work. We need to capture the Erusean Force's General Headquarters in the south of Farbanti and end this war. The plan is for ground troops to attack Farbanti from both the east and the north, and a task fleet will attack from the southwest. We will secure air superiority over the capital, while providing air support for our allies on the ground and in the water as required. By all accounts, we expect this to be an intense full-scale battle across land, sea, and air. Should you need to replenish your ammunition or make necessary repairs to your craft, a return line has been set up in the north. During this operation, we will also be tasked with having to destroy the communications satellites that Erusea hacked. If we take down the information communication system that believe they have control over, it should plunge Erusea into chaos. Once the capital falls, the Erusean military will be isolated and thrown into chaos, making it easier for us to end the war. However, that can't happen until after the capital falls, so you guys are the stars of this battle. Erusea will fight like a tiger, but we cannot lose. We must seize the capital and end this war.

Objectives[]

In the first part of the mission, the player needs to destroy the enemy forces concentrated in three parts of the map. Towards the end of the first phase, the enemies will concentrate in one location near the city's coast. The mission's score requirement depends on the player's selected difficulty:

  • Easy: 15,000
  • Normal: 19,000
  • Hard: 21,000
  • Ace: 23,000

The player must surpass the point threshold within nine minutes to advance the mission.

Mission update[]

After the time runs out, Mihaly enters the battle with the rest of Sol Squadron. The player can cause damage to Mihaly's aircraft while Wiseman lures Mihaly into a chase, but there is a set limit it can take before the damage stops accumulating. After Wiseman gets shot down, Mihaly will engage the player directly, and at that point the damage limit is lifted. The battle ends abruptly once his aircraft has taken enough damage.

Debriefing[]

This is a Peacekeeping Force forward base near Erusean territory. Other allied aircraft have probably been forced to make emergency landings at other airfields. We don't know much. The mission to capture the capital is nearly complete, but we unfortunately have no intel. The enemy communications satellites are down, and we have confirmed the deaths of several Erusean leaders. But our enemy was smart. They had a similar plan. Our own communications systems were destroyed at approximately the same time. We have no idea when or if they'll come back online. Stand by for further details.

S Rank[]

Earning an S Rank on this mission requires earning a combined score and time bonus of 57,200 points or more.

The maximum time bonus available is 21,700 for completing the mission in a total of 21 minutes and 30 seconds or less. This includes time spent retrying from the checkpoint. If the player can complete the mission in that amount of time, they only need 35,500 points from destroying targets in the mission itself to earn the S Rank.

If the player goes past the 21 minutes and 30 seconds threshold, the time bonus decreases by 50 points every second, so the player must compensate by destroying more targets to hit the 57,200 point threshold.

  1. Mister X cannot be killed. The limit on the amount of damage he accumulates will increase upon achieving two milestones: Mister X starting to chase Wiseman, and Wiseman getting killed.
  2. The player must have completed this mission at least once, and must be playing on Normal difficulty or higher. Earn at least 17,000 points in the first part of the mission. SERPENT spawns over the sea at center of the map when countdown reaches 5 minutes, and will fly towards the player.
  3. The player must have completed this mission at least once, and must be playing on Normal difficulty or higher. Destroy the Aegis Ashore near the GHQ at the end of the first phase of the mission. BOGEN spawns south of the Aegis Ashore and will attempt to escape southward. His F-2A possesses stealth capabilities.
