Betrayal is the 29th mission in the Japanese version of Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere'. It is the first mission in the General Resource (II) arc, and is played if the player chooses not to follow Dision in Dilemma.
The war's quickly deteriorated since Dision's revolt. Amidst the chaos, Neucom has rallied its fleet at Megafloat, with squadrons of fighters confirmed. Annihilating this firepower is the mission this time. We're deploying our state of the art fighter, "Game." Because the war has deteriorated, intel on the front is all mixed up, and we're afraid we'll be unable to provide sufficient support. We'd like each of you to be cautious out there.
The player's objective is to destroy all enemy aircraft. Keith's kills will also count towards the final rank, but he must not shoot down more planes than the player. After all aircraft are destroyed, the player's next objective is to destroy all ships.
|Initial||R-101 Delphinus 1||5|
|R-102 Delphinus 2||5|
|R-103 Delphinus 3||6|
Obtaining an A-Rank requires the destruction of 50+ targets. If Keith destroys more planes than Nemo, the player earns a Mission Over and a D-Rank.
Neucom's military power has been greatly reduced.
- About 40 seconds into the first part of the mission, scan lines will appear on the screen as overlapping lines play from Dision, Yoko Martha Inoue, and Simon Orestes Cohen.
- Compared to the export version, this mission is the only mission where players have to get bigger points than Keith to get A rating on JP version. While in the export version only finish the target normally (including target update)
- In Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere Direct Audio media, this mission BGM title is "The Execution". But, in-game mission BGM played "Mind Flow" instead of "The Execution". This was fixed in the export version.
