In mid-June 2014, players began noticing Bacura when playing on Tokyo Martial Law. This was acting as a teaser for Infinity's first Collaboration Event, featuring Xevious. Destroying a Bacura awarded the "Gust Notch" nickname to the player. Between the weekends of July 4–6 and July 11–13, the rate of Bacura appearances increased and special Xevious emblems were handed out as Limited-Time Drops.

On a livestream on June 24, 2014, the Ace Combat Infinity development team hinted at a possible Collaboration Event with THE iDOLM@STER, continuing the trend of iDOLM@STER collaborations in Ace Combat. During another livestream one month later on July 25, it was confirmed that a series of emblems would soon be available (rather than a set of aircraft skins as usual). These emblems would be Limited-Time Drops available to all players during one weekend.

This event took place between August 22, 2014 at 4 AM GMT and August 27, 2014 at 4 AM GMT. It was originally scheduled to end on August 25, but a DDoS attack against the PlayStation Network prevented the event from playing out in full, prompting Infinity's development team to extend the event.

The event supposedly ended on schedule at October 14, but received 18 hours extension due to PSN maintenance on October 13.
