The Emmerian Special Forces[2] are the special operations forces of the Emmerian military. Emmerian special forces units were deployed to areas of strategic importance, typically on infiltration and recapture operations. The only known deployments of special forces units took place during the Emmeria-Estovakia War.[3]
It is unclear where the Special Forces reside in Emmerian military hierarchy. Masato Kanno stated that they fall under the "Emmerian Army", however, he may have been referring to the Emmerian military as a whole.[a]
History[]
On January 26, 2016, the Emmerian Special Forces were tasked with recapturing an airfield near the city of Ortara during the Rargom Beach offensive. After Garuda Team destroyed the anti-air emplacements defending the airfield, the Yellow Jacket helicopter unit escorted the special forces CH-47s. Once deployed, they infiltrated the airfield and secured it.[4]

On March 6, the Yellow Jacket helicopter unit transported the Special Forces to Grageo Canyon, where they were to infiltrate the Estovakian-occupied Ragno Fortress and recapture it. Multiple units were deployed through the underground tunnels underneath the fortress after Talisman flew through said tunnels and destroyed their defenses. Once inside, the multiple special forces units efficiently swept through the facility and eliminated all remaining Estovakian Army soldiers.[1]
On March 31, the Special Forces worked alongside Dragon Busters Battalion as they conducted an operation to recapture Gracemeria's capitol building. While the battalion advanced, special forces units infiltrated a series of occupied facilities and freed a number of Emmerian prisoners of war.[5]
