F-22C Raptor II

The F-22C Raptor II is one of the oldest aircraft in the General Resources Limited inventory (second only to the F-15S/MT Eagle+ in age) and is what most pilots dream of flying when they sign-up. Unfortunately, it is expensive to maintain and to modify the existing F-22As in service. The Raptors are commonly used for high-intensity offensives, and air dominance operations over friendly territory. Though somewhat restricted in deployment, some of the GRDF's best flew this aircraft and in the right hands, the F-22C Raptor II is as dangerous as ever.

The modifications over the standard F-22A Raptor includes: COFFIN system, improved thrust vectoring for both the pitch and roll axis, flaps with higher airbreak capability, and the addition of an F-15 style airbrake between the two vertical stabilizer tails. These are all mostly contained within the aircraft, meaning that the Raptor maintains it’s outer appearance. The only modification visible to the naked eye is the addition of a "tail stinger," like in the Su-27 Flanker series, to mount more electronics.

GRDF's top ace Abyssal Dision flew his personal version of the Raptor II, designated the F-22C Raptor II-D, during the Usean Corporate War. Though his Raptor has a different designation, it is basically the same as the F-22C Raptor II.
