F-35A Lightning II

The F-35A Lightning II is a fifth-generation fighter aircraft. It is designed for aerial recon and air defense missions, and features advanced weapons systems. It made its first appearance in the Ace Combat series in Ace Combat Infinity.

History[]

Thanks to the Advanced Automated Aviation technology within the Infinity universe, the F-35A was available for mass production by mercenary pilots from all over the world, particularly those allied with the United Nations Forces during Operation Eternal Liberation.

The A type is the smallest and lightest variant, a basic model used by the US Air Force. With light controls and High-G capabilities, it is also the only variant among all types to have a 25mm gatling gun as a fixed weapon. As with the B type, it is also known as the "Lightning II.""
