Fato (Demonym: Fatons, or simply FATO, or the likely acronym of the Far Anfang Treaty Organization) is an eastern nation on the continent of Osea, and one the big states that Belka had repressively controlled.

Territorial Shuffle (1987 - 1994)

Fato was one of the few eastern countries to not be annexed outright by Belka. In 1987, during the Belkan Law Review, land in northeastern Belka broke away from the Belkan Federation. The territory was annexed by Fato and the country reformed itself into a federation almost immediately altogether. These nations were refferred to as the FATO, the Far Anfang Treaty Organization.

In 1991, land was sold to the Fato Federation, Sapin and Ustio by Belka. The Belkan troops stationed in those areas soon returned to their land. With this land, Recta (which had already fought for its independence during the Rectan War) became independent from the Fato Federation just four days after the Rald Party took control in Belka.

It seemed the Fato Federation would remain until a dispute broke out between North Fato (modern-day Fato) and South Fato (modern-day Gebet). Southern Fatons wanted to move the capital to Mons, a city in its land. However, the people of North Fato refused to submit to its territory. Thus, in 1994, the Fato Federation peacefully broke up into the two countries of Fato and Gebet.

Belkan War and beyond (1995 - Present Day)

Fato remained neutral during the Belkan War, even though its former territory of Recta was fighting with the Allies. After the war, Fato remained an independent nation, just trying to please its free peoples within in its own borders with the fruits of peace and economic prosperity.
