Fighters are a type of aircraft in the Ace Combat series. They are aircraft designed mainly for air-to-air combat, or dogfighting. Their strong points are commonly speed, mobility and air-to-air. However, they have low defense and stability. Despite their often average or low air-to-ground capabilities, they are free to engage both ground and airborne targets.
