FA-18F AC7 Statistics

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown's Statistics Bar

Aircraft statistics refer to each game's way of measuring the performance of playable aircraft. Measuring methods differ between games; for example, Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies measures stats with bars, Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War indicates statistics with points in a 0-99 scale, and both Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere and Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation measures statistics with a pentagon and hexagon respectively.

Parameters[]

The Ace Combat series' games uses different parameters to measure each aircraft's statistics. Below are the most common parameters in the series.

  • Speed refers to an aircraft's forward movement speed. It is known as Power in Air Combat, Ace Combat 2, and Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere.
  • Defense measures an aircraft's damage threshold. The higher the stat, the more damage will be taken by the aircraft. Attackers often excel at defense.
  • Mobility indicates an aircraft's movement capabilities in a 3D space. This parameter is unrelated to Stability.
  • Stability measures the aircraft's capability to fly at low speeds without entering a stall. Aircraft with a high Stability parameter can fly at speeds of 120 mph without stalling. It also indicates how much the aircraft moves after the player stops giving a directional input. The higher the stability, the less the aircraft moves afterward.
  • Air-to-Air refers to an aircraft's air combat capabilities. The aircraft can lock-on airborne targets faster the higher the stat. In Ace Combat Infinity, the higher the stat, the more damaging the standard missiles can achieve on aerial targets.
  • Air-to-Ground indicates a particular plane's capability at air strikes. The aircraft can lock-on surface targets faster the higher the stat. In Infinity, the higher the stat, the more damaging the standard missiles can achieve on ground targets.

Other parameters[]

  • Attack is a stat exclusive to Air Combat (called Offense there) and Ace Combat 3. It refers to the aircraft's overall combat capabilities, which determines aircraft's missile carrying capacity.
  • Fire Power is a new statistic introduced in Ace Combat: Assault Horizon. Presumably, it refers to the aircraft's combat effectiveness similar to the aforementioned "Attack" stat.
  • Climbing capability is a parameter exclusive to Ace Combat 2, which measures how high an aircraft can go before stalling.
