Ghost Squadron was a Free Erusean squadron that took part in the organization's 2014 uprising. They were the subject of rumors even among their own comrades, and were suspected to be made up of IUN-PKF pilots presumed dead.[1]
History[]
During the 2014 Free Erusean uprising, Ghost Squadron was the subject of rumors among members of Free Erusea. According to these stories, each member of Ghost Squadron was, at one point, an IUN-PKF pilot that had been shot down and been presumed killed in action. However, there was no proof to the rumors, and some Free Erusean pilots did not take them seriously.
At one point, they shot down various IUN peacekeeping units in a cleanup operation.[1]
On July 11, 2014, they engaged various IUN-PKF squadrons over the Waiapolo Mountains during Operation Sentry's Brunt. Prior to their arrival, Free Erusean fighters shot down an IUN fighter, prompting speculation among them about whether he would become a Ghost. The squadron later ambushed the remaining IUN aircraft. Despite their reputation, however, they were defeated by Mobius 1.[1]

- In Ace Combat 7's unfinished and scrapped VR missions, the rumors regarding former IUN pilots joining Ghost Squadron would be proven correct. One of Mobius 1's wingmen, Halo 11, would have been shot down in one mission and reappear as a member of the squadron in a later mission.
