Gripen E

The Gripen E is an enhanced variant of the Gripen C. It made its debut in Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.

History[]

The Gripen E saw sporadic usage during the Lighthouse War, mainly by the Erusean Air Force. Several were stationed at an airbase in Roca Roja; they took off to intercept Spare Squadron during their attack on the base.^[1] One month later, Erusean Gripen Es, Mirage 2000-5s and MiG-31Bs were sent to intercept Colonel McKinsey's transport as it flew towards Bulgurdarest. Among the Gripen pilots was Ken Warren, callsign "Louveteau".^[2] The Gripen later saw use by the Erusean Air Force to defend Farbanti during Osea's Operation Giant's Step^[3] and by the reestablished Voslagian Air Force during their defense of Shilage Castle.^[4]

How to Unlock

The Gripen E is available on the Aircraft Tree and it costs 270,000 MRP. It requires purchasing the Mirage 2000-5.
