General Information
The Gryphus Squadron is featured in Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception. The Gryphus Squadron of the Aurelian Air Force is stationed at Aubrey Air Base, in the Seinan Section of Aurelia. Their goal is top stop any Leasath movements into their country. The Squadron is lead by Gryphus One.
History
At the start of the Leasath-Aurelian War in 2020, the Aurelian Military was all, but dismantled by the Leasath Armed Forces and the Gleipnir. As Leasath Air Force bombers moved into southern Aurelia to continue the occupation of the nation. The Gryphus Squadron launched from Aubrey Air Base to intercept them. Catching the Leasath Bombers off guard, the Gryphus Squadron managed to destroy the bombers, but, was nearly wiped out by a long ranged attack from the Gleipnir.
Gryphus One
Nationality: Aureilian
The Leader of the Gryphus Squadron. Little is known about him. He is known in Leasath and Aurelia as the "Southern Cross".
Eugene "Crux" Solano
Nationality: Aureilian
The Gryphus Squadron's Ground-based Air Controller. From his seat at Aubrey Air Base he can monitor the movements of the Gryphus Squadron and provide the same support as an AWACS.
