Helmut Schnellinger was a Belkan Air Force pilot.[1]
Biography[]
Joining the Air Force, he later became part of Rot Team under command of decorated Detlef Fleisher.
During the Belkan War on April 20, 1995, Rot Team was sent to Area B7R to assist the fighters stationed there after Ustio's Galm Team inflicted heavy damage on the Belkan forces positioned in the area. Engaging the squadron, Schnellinger was shot down and killed.[2]
An investigation by his family members to recover his remains only uncovered an empty wreckage, resulting in their dissatisfaction with the government's official report.[3]
