Kaluga, officially known as the Republic of Kaluga, is a nation located in southern Verusa. Kaluga's only known border is with Yuktobania to the north.
History
In 1986, Kaluga and Yuktobania entered into a border contest known as the Tyumen Dispute. Details are scarce, but it is known that Kaluga's northern forces were defeated by the Yuktobanian Air Force at the Battle of Zhytomyr. The outcome of the conflict and any impact it may have had on Kaluga are unknown.[1]
Trivia
- Some fans mistakenly believe that Kaluga is the setting for the events of Air Combat. In actuality, Air Combat did not specify any location for its events; it was later retconned to be the Skully Islands in Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies promotional material.
- Kaluga is also the name of the administrative center of Russia's Kaluga Oblast.
