In response to reports made by Osean media outlets that Erusea lost contact with the Alicorn[sic], its advanced nuclear-powered submarine, in the Spring Sea, Erusean officials made an announcement yesterday admitting the submarine had indeed gone missing following an unknown accident.

In their short announcement to the press, the Erusean Royal Navy officials revealed that its advanced nuclear-powered submarine had indeed gone missing, explaining the submarine was "on a shakedown cruise in the Spring Sea". They added that they "have found no evidence of an explosion, and have not determined the submarine to be sunk," and that they "will continue searching," while insisting that "no radioactive materials have been released in the Spring Sea as of this moment, and maritime traffic safety has not been compromised."

According to our sources, the accident took place in the early hours of the 10th, after which the submarine went missing in the Spring Sea, 1300 kilometers south-southeast off the coast of Twinkle Islands[sic]. Although a search for the vessel would be difficult due to the complexity of the underwater terrain, the sources claim there's a high probability the crew is still alive due to the submarine's ability to generate oxygen underwater.

The advanced nuclear submarine was originally purchased by the Kingdom of Erusea as scrap from the Union of Yuktobanian Republics through a private company, after which it was refurbished to be the world's largest nuclear submarine.
