First Lieutenant Leonard Baelz (レオナード・ベルツ) was an Independent State Allied Forces soldier during the Continental War depicted in Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies.

Biography

Baelz took part in many ground operations against the Erusean Army during the Continental War. However, he could never get air support due to interference from Stonehenge, leading to a feeling of bitterness towards the ISAF Air Force.

On January 24, 2005, Baelz led the 32nd Marine Corps Regiment Unit B during the ISAF's Operation Bunker Shot. Baelz and his unit landed on Crowne Beach ahead of the other ISAF units. His last communication was reporting a squadron of Erusean A-10A Thunderbolt IIs approaching Crowne Beach; he was killed in action shortly afterward. Sergeant Collins assumed his post.
