Martinez Security is a private military company from the real world of Ace Combat: Joint Assault.

History

Although the previous history of Martinez Security is unknown, the company was a major private military company by the 2000s, being one of the most recognized entities on its field. Martinez's forces were divided into several branches, including a ground branch and air force division, the division is large enough to necessitate the use of AWACS operators. The workforce of the company was composed by agents and employees from various countries, including United States, Japan, Sweden and United Kingdom. A number of members were also former professional soldiers.

Valahia Crisis

Years after the economic meltdown of the late 2000s, Martinez was approached by the United States Armed Forces to conduct a joint military show with the USN Seventh Fleet and the Japan Self-Defense Forces at Midway Island before the first engagement with the Valahia, when unknown forces were detected on radar. After the Balaur's first attack by the Spiridus at Tokyo Bay, Antares One and Rigel Squadron joined up with the JSDF to defend Japan from the Valahia. After the Orgoi's destruction, Rigel Squadron defected to the Valahia, while Martinez Security itself joined with other PMCs to form the IUPF, which was created by Andre Olivieri.

After the formation of the IUPF, Martinez Security proceeded to fight the Valahia in Egypt, destroying two silos, and the Middle East when Antares One rescued an IIAO officer, before making several devastating blows to the Valahia in London by destroying the Spiridus, which they had been chasing since Tokyo, the stand-alone Balaur, and preventing them from getting fuel for their nuclear missiles that they planned to launch them at the US and Europe, pushing the Valahia back to their HQ. Finally, Martinez ended the Valahia after infiltrating the old missile silos the Valahia had captured and destroying the control center inside, killing Nicolae Dumitrescu in the process, and subsequently dismantled the Valahia. The Golden Axe Plan crisis started after the destruction of the Valahia's headquarters. M42 Squadron learned of the Golden Axe Plan from Varcolac Squadron during the battle over the silo. Following the mission, M42 Squadron left the IUPF in order to stop Andre Olivieri's real plan.

As Antares Squadron was making repair and refueling efforts, the Golden Axe Plan Private Army launched four Orgois and MiG-29 Fulcrums to take out the M42 Squadron who knew their plan. Despite overwhelming odds, Antares One destroys all of the airborne carriers and their escorts.

Antares Squadron initiates a joint attack against an enemy airport in Nevada and a new Spiridus in Lake Tahoe. A new Spiridus is equipped with the READS radiation defense system. READS is used to protect the Hi-TASM launch ports from enemy fire. Martinez Security ground forces attacked the enemy airport in Nevada and used the airport's missile facility to launch powerful missiles to disable READS defense system, giving Antares an opportunity to destroy the Hi-TASM launch ports. Both the new Spiridus and the missile facility are destroyed after intense fighting.

Finally, Antares Squadron heads to San Francisco to stop the remaining GAP Private Army from destroying the city. Then, the USN Third Fleet Commander Davis provided backup for Martinez's forces. Antares One destroys all Golden Axe Plan forces. However, Varcolac Squadron arrives in their new superfighter GAF-1 Varcolac. Varcolac Squadron attempted to shoot down Antares One, but no success. After a long fight, Antares One shot down all of Varcolac Squadron's members, including Sulejmani. Then, Antares One destroyed the underground data center at Olivieri Life Insurance, killing Olivieri himself in the process.

The Golden Axe Plan crisis ended with the destruction of the underground data center.

Trivia

  • Every unit from Martinez's air force is named after stars.
  • Rather ironically, the logo of Martinez Security bears a resemblance to the Spiridus during the attack on London, as the M is the ship and the S is the electrolaser cannon.
  • The company makes a brief cameo in the opening scene of Ace Combat Infinity, during the introduction of the Advanced Automated Aviation Plants.
