Megafloat is the 20th mission in the original Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere and the 2nd mission in the General Resource (I) arc.
Mission Story[]
- "They had broken the ceasefire agreement, and succeeded in attacking the Neucom Air Force Base. Following this victory, an operation to suppress Megafloat was put in motion. Although it looked like a floating city, in reality, it was the main base of operations for Neucom's fleet. The Player and the others sortied to Megafloat to destroy its Control Center.[1]"

Briefing[]
Today's mission
is to demilitarize the floating city of Megafloat.
While it may look like a floating city,
it is in fact the base of operations for Neucom's fleet.
We'll strike first before it becomes a threat to us.
Sortie immediately,
and destroy Megafloat's Control Center![1]

Objectives[]
The mission's primary targets are 2 R-201s, 1 tower, and 4 AA Guns. There are also several R-101s and R-201s, in addition to several SAM sites on Megafloat, a carrier, and 2 convoy ships. If there are any surviving targets after 3:30 minutes pass, 2 hydrofoils appear, one of which is a target.
The Player's actions determine which mission comes next: If the mission is cleared before the mission update triggers or the speedboat escapes, Partners will be the next mission. If the hydrofoil is destroyed, the Player will proceed to Target Acquisition instead.

A-Rank[]
Earning an A-Rank requires destroying 24+ enemies and the target hydrofoil if it is launched. If the hydrofoil is not destroyed after 45 seconds, the player will earn a Mission Over and a D-Rank.
Debriefing[]
The destruction of the Control Center
has allowed us to hold back Megafloat's advance.[1]
