  • Aldo, I want to make something clear: We (myself, Qbicle, MyNamesFurii) recognize that you want to help the wiki. Your edits are usually additive and assist with missing information. We appreciate that.

The reason we're blocking you once more is because you still refuse to remain civil in your actions here. In six hours, you made two separate edits once again questioning why there's a lack of information:

Speaking of which, you made another edit that basically demonstrates you have no interest in actually learning how to make references: "Dunno how to make references; anyway, adding AC7 units" A lack of knowledge is not unwelcome at Acepedia, but your lack of interest in learning is grating.

In fact, "lack of interest in learning" basically describes your entire experience here at Acepedia, and certainly at other wikis as well. Need I remind you that you were blocked indefinitely from the Ghost Recon wiki for harassing others? Despite your efforts to help -- which, again, are appreciated -- you're still being secretly rude to the wiki as a whole as well as to other people and not taking any time to learn how to help better.

You are blocked for three months because I think you seriously need a break from this place. If you come back and continue repeating the same mistakes, we will add Acepedia to the list of wikis you are blocked from. Instead, I really want you to come back after three months, eager to help and willing to work with us instead of accusing or ridiculing, because then we'll welcome you back with open arms.

    • Riiight...so, questioning the lack of added information = harassing/attacking/being criminally uncivil people now? I thought like in actual conversations, asking questions would be tolerable. Besides, you said it yourself ("Comment on content, not the contributor")

Sorry, didn't realize it. But hey, at least I didn't ridicule people for their laziness this time (eg. "Seriously, why so long to add this/Y'all need to return to grammar school" or something; BTW, THREE months sounds a bit extreme, tho).

    • You really need to drop the passive-aggressive behavior.

    • Uh...I'll try, but you haven't addressed this "you said it yourself ("Comment on content, not the contributor")".

Also, like I said, I am not lashing out at anyone this time (again, like "Seriously, why so long to add this/Y'all need to return to grammar school"). Just questioning stuff.

  • You've been blocked for two weeks for two reasons:

    • You made an edit on October 8 with a negative tone against previous users' editing, even though you were warned on October 5 to not do that. You don't ignore an admin's warning, especially concerning your treatment of past users.
    • You performed multiple renames at once for little reason. Renames should only be used sparingly, and only when it's obvious ("Liberated" to "Unexpected Visitor"). When it's conjecture, a rename should be agreed upon. You shouldn't have renamed so many pages at once, especially when you don't seem to be familiar with the feature, given the mess you made at the Gryphus One redirect article.

"Please stop asking for edits", "Article comments spam", "Please keep your comments respectful", and now this thread add up to three official warnings and one block based on your behavior on this wiki, not to mention this incident where you wrongly called me out. I'm asking you to look at your behavior here and reconsider how you've been acting.

    • I was just trying to see if it could be italicized (like USS Anzio and the like).

My point exactly: if you don't know how to do something, you look up how to do it or you ask. You don't just use a tool you're unfamiliar with. In this instance, if you had simply asked, I would have explained to you what DISPLAYTITLE is and how to use it to italicize something in the page title.

I begged you to do my edit back over and over again, and yet, you, the admin behind the monitor, did not listen.

I'm going to quote DMSwordsmaster here: "Just because your damn edit was removed doesn't give you the right to bitch at people and order them to revert it."

I am saying that if Sly could, he could just use the content from my old edit and do it like that above transcript. BUT, since I am blocked for another month, my hands are basically tied.

What makes you think I'm not planning on that? As I said above:

"All of us are busy people with real lives, and when we get moments to do work on here, certain things take priority over others. For example, me writing this. I have other things to do, but you're still not learning what you're doing wrong, so I have to spend time to explain to you"

Anchorhead Raid is fresh, new content that people are searching for after it released and after they play it. Anchorhead Raid content, therefore, takes full priority over everything else on the wiki. We have a massive ongoing discussion about AC2 and Legacy canon details, but I haven't replied to that for a few days because Anchorhead Raid takes priority. I also, surprise surprise, have a life outside of this wiki, so I can't devote my entire day to fixing everything. I'm just one person.

I/we/anyone will get to Charge Assault's transcript. That page is not going to stay barren or something, of course we're going to have the lines up on there. But stop demanding it.

@DMSwordsmaster: Your last reply, the one right above this one, takes it a little too far. Telling someone to outright shut up or be quiet is not the way to go about it, nor is telling someone that they're not the boss (or implying that I am the boss of the wiki, when that's not the case, Fandom Staff is). You're right that Aldo's attitude needs some work, but it doesn't give you the right to give attitude back.

    • My apologies. I actually did tone it down a bit from what I would have originally stated, though it still was a tad too far. Though, my purpose of the "Boss" thing was more in line with him demanding people to make edits rather than any other perceived notion. Basically, he's not the boss of others, he shouldn't be making orders. I didn't intend it to really revolve around the hierarchy of Fandom staff or what have you.

  • I noticed your remark from the edit you have made on F-35C Lightning II, which has a very negative tone against previous users' editing. English is not necessarily the first language for everyone, and if some users made edits that are not optimal, then please do help them out and be respectful whenever possible. Leaving a patronising comment will give other users bad impression and discourage them from further editing.

    • Whoops :(

Was ranting from my numerous sightings of bad grammar on this wiki. Seriously, are the English speakers very inactive in editing?

  • I have removed the translated Japanese briefing transcript on the Anchorhead Raid page, as that would be considered as fanmade content, which I wouldn't allow for this case. The mission would be released in less than 3 weeks' time, so we should wait for the official English version instead.

  • You've been blocked from the wiki for three days due to spamming article comments. After Thread:96050, you were warned for asking for edits from other users in many article comments. Tonight, you did two things:

    • You spammed multiple articles that happened to feature a character with the same last name as another character in AC7, as if you were adding Trivia to the article but doing it through a comment. This was completely unnecessary and can just stay on the AC7 article. There was no need to spam it across so many pages.
    • You made yet another comment in the vein of Thread:96050, not directly asking for an edit but ridiculing the very usage of "page unknown" in an Aces At War reference, on an article already marked as stub.

Acepedia is not a social media platform. It's a wiki. Please rethink your engagement on here.

  • From December until now, over half of your edits on this wiki were article comments or message wall threads asking for edits to specific pages or specific content.

You are an editor on this wiki just like the rest of us. Every single user on here is a volunteer who volunteers their free time, earning no reward, to edit the wiki. Your comments therefore come off as rude, lazy, and demanding.

If you want something edited on the wiki, you have the power to edit it yourself. Calling for others to do it is not how a wiki operates. Please stop making comments of this nature.

What if there's additional info (eg. AAW '19) that I don't have access to?

This does not give you the right to be rude as I explained in my first post. Nothing gives you that right. You sit there and wait for one of us to add info from AAW 2019 or anything else when we can volunteer our time to do so.
