The R-103 Delphinus #3 is an advanced fighter[1] aircraft designed by Neucom Inc..
Description[]
The final expression of Neucom's famous Radical series of aircraft, the R-103 Delphinus #3 fuses the latest aviation technologies, such as energy weaponry and the COFFIN system. It is a completely new aircraft[2], capable of performing the entire spectrum of missions, from air superiority to ground attacks.[2] It features substantial improvements over the previous models, such as a multi-wing airframe that greatly increases its maneuverability, and a state-of-the-art twin-engine configuration which give it an unprecedented advantage in terms of speed over other contemporary aircraft.
In the year 2040, the R-103 entered mass-production. The plane saw action during the Corporate War, and proved to be superior to other high-end aircraft of its era in some areas. Cynthia Fitzgerald of the NEU adopted the aircraft when it was deployed, with a customized livery. As well, the insurgent Ouroboros group fielded R-103s with black livery, serving as escorts of the group's forward base, the UI-4053 Sphyrna.
Game Analysis[]
Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere[]
- "A powerhouse of a fighter that has enhanced power and stability of the Delphinus #2, and the last in the Delphinus series. It possesses impeccable performance in all abilities, including turning, speed, power, and stability. By using two of the Delphinus #2's engines, it was possible to substantially increase its mobility. Additionally, canards were installed near the front, and it can achieve higher agility regardless of the pilot's skill."
