The RAH-66 Comanche was a prototype helicopter manufactured in tandem by Sikorsky and Boeing Helicopters. Touted by the US military as the first step towards an all-stealth airborne fleet, the Comanche was intended to replace the AH-1 Cobra and OH-58 Kiowa, as well as supplement the AH-64 Apache. The RAH-66 project was cancelled in 2004 after nearly two decades of development.
During the Skully Islands insurrection, the RAH-66 was utilized by anti-government forces. Four of these helicopters were deployed during the liberation of Donet City. They were last seen during the defense of the rebel HQ.
The helicopter later saw use by the Usean Rebel Forces in Ace Combat 2's depiction of the Usean coup d'état, serving as a defense unit for the elementary particle lab. It did not appear in the remake, Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy.
