Radar vehicles are specialized units tasked with providing ESM support to adjacent units, thus enhancing their combat abilities. Because of this, they are considered invaluable battlefield assets.

They have made sporadic appearances in the series, starting with Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation.

The Republic of Emmeria Army's Sherpa Signal Battalion is known to have utilized radar vehicles during the Emmeria-Estovakia War.[1][2] The Estovakian Army also utilized them during the conflict.[3][4]

The Erusean Army utilized radar vehicles during the Lighthouse War.[5]
