The Battle of Ortara was a battle of the Anean Continental War. A port city in south-western Emmeria, Ortara was taken by Estovakia forces during their initial push into Emmeria at the beginning of the war. In the battle, Emmerian forces that had just successfully retaken Khesed Island made an amphibious invasion to retake the city.
Prelude
Since the Battle of Bartolomeo Fortress almost a month prior, the Emmerian military had been amassing enough troops to take the Emmerian mainland. An operation was also designed to invade the mainland, as well as to relieve mainland forces suffering from exhaustion. A three-pronged attack was developed, which involved attacking the Kijera Oil Fields by sea, as well as two hovercraft units: one for the city of Ortara itself and the nearby airfield, and another for a central beachhead.
The Battle
On January 26, 2016, Emmerian troops from Khesed attacked Ortara and the area surrounding it. Warlock Separate Battalion, after being taken to shore by landing craft, attacked the main Estovakian ground forces at the central beachhead. Quox Armored Battalion, also taken to shore by landing craft, invaded Ortara itself.
