Rising High is the eighth mission in Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy.

Briefing

Allied spy satellites have detected incoming enemy forces. The enemy bombers are flying at high altitudes en route to this base. Intercept and destroy them. There are only a few of them, but they'll be flying at the upper limit of your altitude range. Unlike at regular altitude, the slightest error will result in a stall. Keep a tight grip on your controls.

Objectives

The mission's primary targets are a pair of U-2s and three SR-71s. Destroying them all ends the mission.

Debriefing

Enemy bombers destroyed This battle required the utmost precision in controls, and you delivered. The Rebels have tried everything to stop us. Looks like they couldn't ignore you any longer.

Trivia

• While the briefing and debriefing refer to the targets as bombers, the mission's main targets are spy planes and there are no bombers present.
  • This may a holdover from Ace Combat 2, as the original mission included XB-70 Valkyrie bombers as primary targets.
