Santa Elva is seen in Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception. The geography around the city of Santa Elva has rolling hills. The Lena River, the largest river divides North and South Aurelia. The location of the city as the main transportation link between the two regions of Aurelia and also is a possible inland water link to the ocean. Santa Elva was captured by Leasath forces and used this city as a maintenance station for the Gleipnir.

Standoff in the Skies I
If the player choose to complete "The Midnight Sun", the Gleipnir suffered immense damage. It's Digital Optical Stealth (DOS) system was rendered useless and it's Shock Wave Ballistic Missile launch ports were destroyed, along with external and internal damages. During maintenance in Santa Elva, after landing in the Lena River, the Gleipnir was attacked by Gryphus One and Aurelian fighters. The Gleipnir had no time to complete any major repairs and was forced to launch into combat. Using conventional weaponry without any DOS and SWBM weaponry, the Gleipnir was engaged by a swarm of Aurelian fighters and Gryphus One. After being stripped of its conventional weaponry and becoming completely defenseless, the Gleipnir's Captain took control of the fortress and performed a shocking feat of the Gleipnir's maneuverability. The Captain rolled the Gleipnir onto its back and flew upside down in order to use it's Shock Cannon as an air defense weapon. Despite this, the Gleipnir was destroyed by Gryphus One and fell into the Lena River. Santa Elva was taken soon afterwards.
Standoff in the Skies II
If the player choose to complete "Rolling Thunder", the Gleipnir will depart to Santa Elva for preparations to defend the city (as CRUX said) & the player is forced to attack a fully-powered Glepnir in Santa Elva. After Gryphus One destroyed it's DOS and the SWBM launch ports, the Gleipnir will position diagonally and will use the Shock Cannon. In the end, Gryphus One destroyed the Shock Cannon before it could be fired upon the city and it crashes into Lena River.
Time Limit
If the player choose to complete "In Pursuit I", the Hamlet Unit, a biological warfare Leasath special forces unit, invaded Santa Elva and release Cynocrine canisters (A biological gas) into the city. Gryphus One is sent to counter them with the Neutralizing Agents. After all the Cynocrine toxic gases have been neutralized, Hamlet Unit will escape and Gryphus One shot down all CAS fighters.
