Self Awareness is the 47th mission of the Japanese version of Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere. It is the fourth and final mission along the Ouroboros (II) story arc.

Mission Story

"Though the Night Raven had fled into Geofront, perhaps seeing the odds against it, it resurfaced over Port Edwards, where Neucom's head office is located. Cynthia and the Player also move to the ground in pursuit of the Night Raven, but the difference in mobility is making attacks difficult, leaving them unable to deal any decisive damage."

Objectives

Mission Start

The mission's primary target is the X-49 Night Raven. However, it is too fast to hit. 30 seconds after the mission begins, a cutscene will play detailing Port Edwards' Aeon generators' effects on the Night Raven's mobility, instructing the player to destroy them.

Mission Update 1

Once the cutscene ends, the Aeon generators become the primary targets. The player must destroy them all while evading anti-aircraft and surface-to-air missile fire and being hunted by the Night Raven.

Mission Update 2

Once all Aeon generators are destroyed, the Night Raven once again becomes the mission's primary target. Shooting it down ends the mission.
