The landscape of Shilage features wide open plains of grass with dense forests covering a lot of the terrain. The buildings found in Shilage appear to have been built during the medieval era, as the houses and large structures across the state appear to constructed out of stone. Surrounded by the largest town in Shilage is Shilage Castle.
The nation was annexed by the Kingdom of Erusea sometime during the 1900s, but was able to establish self-proclaimed independence during the Erusean power struggle following Operation Giant's Step. It is unknown whether Shilage retained its independence following the power struggle.
Early history (–2005)
During the 1900s, a revolution which aimed to oust the Shilage family from power broke out in the nation. The revolution was successful but the expanding Kingdom of Erusea soon annexed the country which the revolution had formed.
After the nation was annexed by Erusea, the Erusean Royal Family allowed the Shilage family to retain their title and noble standing in the kingdom. The heir to the nation, Mihaly A. Shilage, refused, instead signing up for the draft as an ordinary Erusean citizen would.
Lighthouse War (2019)
On September 19, 2019, Osean and Erusean forces destroyed numerous communications satellites in orbit, plunging the Usean continent into chaos. Shilage used this opportunity to declare itself an independent nation.
On October 24, the Long Range Strategic Strike Group deployed Strider Squadron to capture Shilage Castle as it had been stockpiling supplies. As Strider engaged emplacements in and around the castle, Sol Squadron took off to defend the nation. During the engagement between Strider and Sol, Mihaly entered the airspace and ordered the Voslagian Squadron to withdraw. A fierce dogfight ensued between Mihaly and Trigger, an engagement which the latter ultimately won.
Following the Lighthouse War, multiple states which declared their independence from Erusea still desired to remain independent. It is presumed Shilage is among these states.
As Shilage is a relatively small state, its landscape is not particularly diverse. It is home to vast fields of grass, dense forests, hills, and large mountains. There are also lakes and winding rivers spread across the countryside.
Apparently, almost half of its landscape is covered in these dense forests.
As a state under Erusean rule, Shilage was subject to decisions and regulations imposed by the Erusean government, whether it was the monarchy or the former federal institution.
Formerly a Grand Duchy, Shilage was presumably ruled by Grand Duke or Grand Duchess.
It is unknown whether Shilage had a military prior to its annexation.
