Sortie Fuel

The Sortie Fuel system is a unique gameplay mechanic to Ace Combat Infinity that restricts the player to participating in a number of missions equivalent to how much fuel they own. All missions in Infinity in every game mode, except Test Flight, require the use of one fuel per mission.

Description

There are two types of fuel: Supplied Fuel and Stocked Fuel.

Supplied Fuel is given to players for free at timed intervals; when one Supplied Fuel is used, the player is given another Supplied Fuel four hours afterward. A player can only have three Supplied Fuel at any given time.

Stocked Fuel is earned through Challenges or by purchasing it with real money. Stocked Fuel is unlimited, but does not automatically regenerate. Using Stocked Fuel in Online Co-Op Missions will award slightly extra credits and research, but otherwise there are no effects on a mission whether Stocked or Supplied Fuel is used.

Prices

The current prices for Stocked Fuel are as follows:

  • 1 Stocked Fuel: ¥100 / $0.99
  • 5 Stocked Fuel: ¥500 / $4.99
  • 11 Stocked Fuel: ¥1000 / $8.99
  • 35 Stocked Fuel: ¥3000 / $26.99
  • 60 Stocked Fuel: ¥5000 / $44.99

The $ sign applies for US Dollars and Canadian Dollars.

Stocked Fuel has also been included in packs of DLC with other special items. For example, the Elite Pack includes 20 Stocked Fuel along with an emblem and 8 contracts, while the Rookie Set includes 5 Stocked Fuel along with an emblem and 2 contracts.

Forced Sortie

Forced Sortie is a timed event that allows players to earn more rewards by spending extra fuel. While Forced Sortie is active, using 2 fuels instead of 1 during an Online Co-Op Mission will award the player with 2.10x the credits, 2.10x the research, and two limited time drops. Using 3 fuels instead of 1 will aware the player with 3.50x the credits, 3.50x the research, and three limited time drops. Players cannot spend more than three fuel cells on one mission.

Additionally, a player's statistics will show as though the mission they just used their fuel on counted twice or three times. For example, if the match ended in an S rank and a player used 3 fuel instead of 1, then their number of S ranks in their stats will show as if they had just earned 3 S ranks instead of 1.

Forced Sortie is an optional feature - players do not have to participate in the event, and can continue to use one fuel cell per mission as normal, which will not affect their rewards or statistics in any way.

In-Game Description
