Striking Point is a campaign mission in Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception. It is only available if Blitz is not played first; playing Blitz will result in Sachana Air Base no longer being able to send reinforcements to the Kalana Steppes, resulting in The Wasteland being available instead. The player must destroy all enemy forces at the Kalana Steppes, including enemy reinforcements.

Briefing

Eugene Solano: We have received information that enemy stragglers from Santa Elva are gathering on the Kalana Steppes.. Unless we move now, we risk the enemy launching another incursion on Santa Elva. It appears that they are also expecting reinforcements and supplies from the Sachana Air Base to the northeast. If the remnant forces and the reinforcements are allowed to regroup, they could pose a problem. We need to attack now while they are defenseless and take them out of the battle for good.

Objectives

Gryphus one must destroy all enemy forces, both air and ground, until the MPG turns 0. Once the MPG goes below 25%, enemy reinforcements will arrive in the form of a flight of F/B-22s and a Su-37. The enemy forces are mainly consisted of ground forces so it would be good to equip weapons like XAGMs or FAEBs.

Debriefing

The concentration of enemy troops on the Kalana Steppes has been eliminated, allowing us to concentrate on Santa Elva. We can now freely continue our advance without having to constantly watch our flank. I apologize for letting enemy reinforcements get the drop on you. I should have been paying more attention to their movements. It wont happen again. That is all.
