The Su-33 -TYPE ACE2- is a downloadable aircraft in Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation. It was released as part of DLC Pack #08 in May 28, 2008 at the price of $2.49 (200 MSP, pre-MSP retirement).

The "TYPE ACE2" is the fourth and final download variant of the Su-33 Flanker-D, as well as the second "TYPE ACE" aircraft and the fifth Ace Combat 2-themed aircraft.
This particular variant has been designed with speed attributes in mind. Maximum airspeed and base maneuverability are slightly increased, while stability is given a substantial boost and armor is strengthened. However, these advantages come at the cost of poorer air-to-air and air-to-ground combat capabilities, as well as the inability to use High-G turns. The maximum altitude of this aircraft has also been reduced to 32,600 feet.
The TYPE ACE2 Su-33's weapons arsenal is given a general redesign. The basic missile capacity is reduced from 160 to 120. In order to provide a truly "old fashioned" gameplay experience, the aircraft is restricted from using any special weapons.
