- "Su-57s, highly capable planes. Stay on your toes if you engage them!"
- ― AWACS Long Caster[1]
The Su-57 is a fifth-generation fighter aircraft developed for the Russian Air Force.
The Su-57 made its debut in Ace Combat: Assault Horizon as the PAK-FA (Perspektivny Aviatsionny Kompleks Frontovoy Aviatsii, literally "Prospective Airborne Complex of Frontline Aviation"). It also appeared in Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy as the PAK FA and the signature aircraft of Edgar Grint.
The Su-57 was later featured in Ace Combat Infinity as the T-50 PAK-FA, and then in Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown with its current name.
History[]
Strangereal[]
Prior to the impact of the 1994XF04 Ulysses asteroid, the Usean Rebel Forces was the first known operator of the aircraft, whose nation of origin is uncertain. The most notable user of the aircraft was the Albireo Squadron's leader, Edgar Grint, who was killed in battle with Scarface Squadron over Snider's Top while intending to prevent the advance of the Usean Allied Forces towards the rebel headquarters in Saint Ark during the Usean coup d'état.[2] Another notable pilot was Death Rave 2000, who was seen over the Payton Channel during Beast Squadron's engagement with Scarface Squadron.[3]
The Su-57 was later utilized in the Lighthouse War, mostly during the latter part of the war, by the Erusean Air Force as an advanced fighter. During Operation Sighthound, the aircraft was utilized by Sigurd Squadron, and AWACS Long Caster made note of the aircraft's capabilities. Ultimately, Sigurd was shot down by Strider.[1]
On June 30, 2020, at least five Yuktobanian Air Force Su-57s were showcased at Redmill Air Force Base alongside foreign aircraft at a ceremony commemorating 25 years since the Belkan War's end. Yuktobania sent these aircraft after being invited by Osea.[4]
Assault Horizon universe[]
In the Assault Horizon continuity, the PAK-FA was secretly developed by Russia as part of an effort to develop a stealth combat aircraft to supersede the MiG-29 Fulcrum and Su-27 Flanker, able of participating in ground attack or air superiority operations while remaining hidden from radar. It possessed highly dense armor and powerful stealth capabilities, likely born from the Soviet from the research on the application of metamaterials for radar invisibility from the CFA-44 Nosferatu by scientists in Romania.[citation needed]
Scheduled to enter service with the VVS in 2016, two late model prototypes were handed over to Andrei Markov and Sergei Illich.[citation needed]
Towards the end of the 2015-2016 civil war in Russia, Markov loaded his aircraft with the last remaining Trinity missile and departed to Central America with Illich and several pilots to carry out a suicide attack against the US leadership in Washington. Markov and his men were engaged and ultimately shot down by the Warwolf Squadron and the USAF in battles through Miami and the capital before their mission could be carried out.[citation needed]
Infinity universe[]
The T-50 was acquired from Russia by Wernher and Noah Enterprises and mass-produced using their Advanced Automated Aviation Plant for sale to United Nations Forces and associated air mercenary groups. During Operation Eternal Liberation, the USEA Federation obtained or produced the PAK-FA from captured Wernher facilities and used it in operations around the world against the UNF.

It boasts top class air battle power thanks to the outstanding maneuverability it gets from its thrust deflection nozzle and its low detection properties in regards to radar. Trivia[]
- All of the Su-57, T-50, and PAK-FA models used in Ace Combat depict real-life prototypes preceding the sixth prototype, T-50-6, which underwent some design changes. The "Su-57" designation is given to the production model which has yet to make an appearance in Ace Combat, despite the name's use in Ace Combat 7.
- The "Erusea" skin in Ace Combat 7, Event Skin #03 in Infinity, and Color 2 in Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy are based on the splinter camouflage seen on the aircraft's prototypes.
- The "Special" skin in Ace Combat 7 is based on a paint scheme nicknamed "Белая акула" ("White Shark"), which only appeared on the fifth and the sixth prototype of the T-50, the T-50-5 and the T-50-6-2.
