A superweapon[note 1] is an extremely powerful weapon designed to either harm a large number of humans or cause immense damage to structures. The combat capabilities of superweapons far surpass those of typical weapons used in war.

Most games in the Ace Combat franchise feature at least one superweapon, usually as the final boss of the game.
