The Prize is the 42nd mission of the Japanese version of Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere. It is the 3rd mission along the Neucom (I) story arc.

Mission Story

"The conflict between Neucom and General Resource had become more serious.There came in a report -- it said that this time Neucom's satellite had broken down and it fell on the sea near Fort Grays Island. the player sallied out to support the satellite recovery unit, for they had to prevent the information leaking out to General Resource."

Briefing

One of our spy satellites has fallen
into the sea.
Our recovery unit is en route,
but General Resource are aware of the situation,
and will make a play for the satellite and its intel.
Support the recovery unit, and prevent a leak
to General Resource.

Objectives

Mission Story

A fleet of 4 Convoy ships and a Carrier are the mission's primary targets. These must not be allowed to reach the downed Neucom satellite, or the mission will be a failure.

Mission Update

Once the enemy fleet has been desroyed, 4 Hydrofoils and 2 Convoy ships will appear. As with the initial targets, these must not be allowed to reach the satellite. If the enemy fighters destroyed the recovery squadron, the mission will end with Mission Over when the last of the secondary enemy fleet is destroyed. If any of the first recovery squadron survived, the mission will end with Mission Accomplished.
