Briefing[]

Listen up! We have a situation on our hands. A major squadron of Belkan bombers has crossed our border and is making its way here, to Valais Air Base. Apparently, they intend to attack our base in an initiative to gain hegemony over the entire Republic of Ustio. Valais Air Base is our country's last line of defense. If our base falls, no one will be left to stop Belka from taking over Ustio. Your mission is to destroy the squad of bombers and defend our base. Belka's invasion must end here.

Pixy: It's starting to come down.
Ustio Base Command: This is Base Command. Guess all you boys managed to get up. Galm 1, Galm 2, maintain present course.
Pixy: This is Galm 2. Roger that.
Ustio Base Command: Bearing 315, Belkan bombers approaching.
Pixy: Nobody wants to bail out into a mountain of ice. We're counting on you, flight leader.
Ustio Base Command: All units, prepare to intercept.
Pixy: You'd better have our pay ready and waiting.
Ustio Base Command: That's only if we both make it through this alive.
Pixy: Be ready to pay up. We'll be back before you know it.

Mission Script[]

Mission Start[]

Ustio Base Command: Galm Team, shoot down all enemy bombers. Don't let them get to our base.; Galm 2, follow all orders from Galm 1. Free engagement is prohibited during this operation.
Pixy: Roger. Awaiting your orders, Cipher. You're Galm 1 now.

Pixy: (Knight) Cipher, I've heard stories about you. That pride's gonna get you killed, you know.; (Soldier) Cipher, I've heard stories about you. They say you've got what it takes to win.; (Mercenary) Cipher, I've heard stories about you. People say your never let your prey get away.

Ustio Squadron: (Knight) Let's get this job over with and suck up a little hot wine.; (Soldier) Let's make quick work of these suckers and treat ourselves to a little hot whiskey.; (Mercenary) Let's mop 'em up quick and go out for a little hot rum?

Ustio Squadron: If you want to turn back, now's the time.

Ustio Squadron: Looks like they wanna finish us off.

Ustio Squadron: I'm gonna come out on top today.

Ustio Squadron: I'm gonna earn every penny of that money today.

Ustio Squadron: Taking out these guys ought to pretty up my kill score.

Ustio Squadron: Looks like Galm 2 is gonna steal the show again.; Come on, Pixy! Leave a few for us, will ya?
Pixy: I don't have time for that. It's every man for himself.

Pixy: Head back to base if your plane has any problems.

Pixy: That's enough babbling.

Belkan Squadron: Escort planes, back us up. We don't want any fighters on our tails.

Belkan Squadron: We underestimated them.

When engaging the first bomber[]

Ustio Squadron: That bomber looks ancient.

After all escorts are neutralized or destroyed[]

Pixy: Base Command. I mopped up those escort planes. Continuing on to enemy bombers.
Ustio Base Command: Roger. We're counting on you.

After destroying one bomber[]

Ustio Base Command: One enemy bomber down. Continue with operation.

After destroying two bombers[]

Ustio Base Command: 2nd enemy bomber down. Stay sharp out there!

Belkan Bomber: This is Otto 5. IFF is out of commission. Unable to carry out duty. Withdrawing from operation airspace.
Ustio Squadron: One of the bombers has left the battlefront. He must've chickened out.
Pixy: Why would he leave after getting this far?

If the player shoots down the neutralized bomber[]

Belkan Bomber: Low-life mercenaries! Only you would be so cowardly to shoot down a plane that's out of commission!

When one bomber remains[]

Pixy: There's only one left.

Mission Accomplished[]

Ustio Base Command: Base Command to Galm Team. The enemy attack unit has been successfully intercepted.; All planes, job well done! You'll be paid well for this.^{[note 1]}; I'd like to see how those Belkan cowards report back to their superiors.
Pixy: Cipher, I got a feeling you and me are gonna get along just fine.; Buddy.
